REGISTER NOW FOR JUST US$5!
Ever since I started making screensavers for Windows, I've had requests for
Mac versions. So I decided to go and buy a Mac so I could make Mac OS X screensavers
for you guys. Problem is, the Mac cost me a fair amount of cash. So I've made
this screensaver shareware. It's only US$5 to register and get rid of all
the nags that pop-up, and all the intro banners at the start. But more importantly, you'll help
support Useless Creations, which means I'll be able to port more of my Windows
screensavers to work under OS X, including my other shareware and some of
the very cool FREE ones.
So register now to get the full version, help me pay for my Mac, and look
forward to more cool 3D screensavers in the future!

Settings
To get to the screen saver settings go to System Preferences, then Desktop
and Screen Saver, select this screensaver and slick on Options.
The following configuration options are available. (It is recommended that
you play with the options to find what runs best on your Mac and what you
think looks best):
Draw Colourful Background: If you'd like some rainbow plasma
type patterns going in the background instead of just black, then turn this
on.
Use Skin Tones Instead Of Random Coloured Hands: Turn this
on if you'd like more naturally coloured hands instead of the random colours
that are used normally.
Number Of Hands: This lets you set how many hands will be
playing at a time. If you have a slower PC you may want to turn this down
or it could get jerky. If you have a beefy PC, then crank it up and watch
the hands fill the screen with RPS goodness!
Hand Size: Here you set how big you want the hands to be
when they first appear. They grow as they win, so this is just a starting
point.
Release Notes
Ok, so this one is kinda stupid.
Recently, I kept hearing about this world championship of Rock, Paper, Scissors,
and how the champion of Victoria (my state) had fallen off a bar stool and
broken his wrist while celebrating his win in true Australian fashion.
As the same time, I was emailing back n forth with a dude who had an idea
for a screen saver involving a hand (which I may still make later), and I
remembered that I'd made a 3D model of my hands a couple of years back for
a different screen saver (you get extra ponts if you know which one it is).
And suddenly, I had a fantastic idea!
A screen saver with these 3D hands floating around playing Rock, Paper, Scissors!
It'll be the greatest screen saver ever made!
Ok, so maybe it isn't, but I still kinda like it. I've watched it for a rediculous
amount of time, and there's just something about it that I like. I also kinda
think it's missing something, but I'm not sure what. Suggestions are always
welcome. Either way, I like it, and I hope you guys get a kick out of it too!
Just incase you're not familiar with Rock, Paper, Scissors, it's a stupid
little game where you shake you hand against someone else and you both pick
either Rock, Paper or Scissors. The winner is determined by the combination
of what's been chosen. Rock blunts scissors. Scissors cut paper. Paper covers
rock. If they're the same, you have a rematch.
Just be careful not to get poked in the eye.
Enjoy!
