UPGRADE YOUR VIDEO DRIVERS
No matter what version of Windows you are using it is recommended that you
make sure you are using the latest drivers for your video card. If you have
any problems (slow, jerky, crashing, freezing) they can almost always be fixed
by simply replacing your outdated drivers.
The latest drivers for your card are available from the manufacturers website.
They are always working on upgrading the drivers, so make sure you upgrade
them!
Some common manufacturers websites are:
ATI
Matrox
nVidia
PowerVR
DESCRIPTION (WHAT'S IT DO?)
Kids on their way home from trick or treating decide to take a shortcut through
the Spookyville Cemetery. But the ghosts who dwell within have been without
candy for far too long, and have decided to steal it from any kid who comes
their way.
This fun 3D screen saver is like none you have seen before. The kids run
from the ghosts in a fully 3D cemetery, and there are heaps of different costumes
for them to wear including Harry Potter, Spiderman, Yoda, and Halloween favourites
like Pirates, Skeletons and Witches, and heaps more!
There's also a countdown to Halloween, and watch out for Bats flying around
overhead!
USELESS RELEASE NOTES (v2.0)
I decided it was time to spruce this one up a bit and re-release it for the
new Halloween.
When I first started working on it way back when, I always wanted to have
flocks of bats flying around overhead, but I ran out of time. So the first
thing I've added is flocks of bats flying around overhead. I decided to only
put one camera angle in that actually watches the bats, so most of the time
you'll just see them in the background. I think they look cool this way, especially
if you see them silhouetted against the full moon.
I've added a specific Halloween countdown too. So if you turn off the UC3D
countdown (it's now off by default) and turn this one on it will always count
down to October 31st of this year. That way you don't have to keep changing
it each year.
And, ofcourse, I've added a couple of new costumes and fixed all the bugs
that I could find.
This is a shareware screen saver. But it's only US$9.95 to register and get
rid of all the nag screens (which I know aren't as annoying as a lot of other
shareware screen savers around, but I still hope you'll like it enough to
pay, rather than be annoyed enough to pay).
You can register online and get the full version almost instantly by going

You can also register UC3D and get this, and all other UC3D screen saver
for the one low price. For more info on UC3D go to:

I've done my best to make sure this is bug free, but if you spot any bugs
please let me know.
Enjoy!
USELESS RELEASE NOTES (v1.1)
Wow. I'm in shock as to how popular this screen saver has become. It was
mentioned on MSN.com over the weekend and had over 140,000 downloads! Sure,
not even 0.002% of those actually registered, but the feedback I've received
is all good, so at least people are enjoying it, even if it's just the free
version.
The only negative feedback I've had is that I mis-spelled "cemetery",
and that it doesn't have sound. So I've fixed the spelling mistake and I've
added a selection of spooky background music.
Enjoy!
USELESS RELEASE NOTES (v1.0)
After doing A Very 3D Christmas and An Eggstremely 3D Easter, I started getting
requests for screen savers based on other popular holiday type events. So
I had a look around at the different Halloween screen savers available, and
I wasn't all that impressied.
There are some good ones, but a lot for all very similar with simple ghosts
floating around the screen and stuff like that. I didn't find any 3D ones,
and I didn't find any that were close to as cheap as I sell mine for (am I
charging too little for these things??)
So I decided I'd try and do a good, original, 3D Halloween screen saver.
The idea is that the kids are on their way home and take a shortcut through
a graveyard, the ghosts happen to be a little more active than usual on this
night tho, and emerge from their graves to chase the kids and steal their
candy. I haven't seen anything like this before, so I'm hoping you all enjoy
it.
This was great fun to make. I had a ball making all the different costumes
for the kids to wear and all that. I didn't get to include everything I wanted,
so maybe I'll do an update next year when I have more time. Ofcourse if you
register now, you will be more than welcome to free updates to this screen
saver.
